Louis Berger Services is searching for a Regional Manager for the Middle East region.
The Aerospace, Defense & Logistics (AD&L) Business Unit of Louis Berger is searching for a Regional Manager to help grow its Middle East region business.
Background/General Information:

  • Countries of focus: Gulf Cooperation Council countries
  • AD&L has current active project operations in Kuwait
    • Louis Berger has current active projects throughout the Middle East
  • AD&L is consists of 3 operating divisions: Fuels, Logistics and Aircraft
  • Core service offerings in the AD&L are:
    • Air Terminal Ground Handling Services
    • Transient Alert Services
    • Turnkey fuels services, in design, build, operate and maintain
    • Facility Support Services/Base Operations Support Services (BOSS)
    • Military Vehicle Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO)
  • Clients – US Government and Middle East (Host Nation) military, defense and security government agencies
  • Reports to: Senior Vice President, AD&L, LBS
  • Place of work: Must base in a Gulf Cooperation Council country

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Developing and leading capture activities for business (program/project) opportunities in the region
  • Developing and maintaining contact with potential clients and business partners in the region
  • Working with and collaborating with the General Managers (GMs) and Operations Managers for the AD&L Divisions.
  • Participating in AD&L leadership strategy and operations meetings
  • Forging relationships with and coordinating with Louis Berger’s International Middle East leadership and operations
  • Attending and participating in regional defense industry forums and conferences
  • Functions as the primary regional program manager (PM) for new AD&L project(s) for Middle East. (Note: as AD&L workload grows we would plan to add PMs and/or BD resources in the region).

Job Requirements
Desired Qualifications and/or Experience:

  • Minimum of a BS/BA and 20+ years of relevant experience
  • Former US military officer or US government official, (preference given to US Army experience)
  • Military background (preference for logistics, acquisitions, or foreign area officer)
  • Five or more years working in the Middle East (preference given for experience in Gulf Cooperation Council countries)
  • Conversational in Arabic
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
