Project Architect and Space Planner for facilities work in Washington DC

Job description:

·       Coordinate and oversee completion of activities in all phases of the project cycle of facilities-related projects worldwide.

·       Manage the project design and/or construction effort and evaluate contractor performance.

·       Provide official weekly project status reports.

·       Assemble integrated team of stakeholders; manage communications, and establish expectation.

·       Collect requirements, prepare SOW, conduct market research, and develop justification if appropriate.

·       Conduct technical reviews and evaluate project solicitations, proposals, quotes, and proposed change requests.

·       Review and approve shop drawings and submittals throughout the project.

Basic Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in architecture, building engineering, or interior design.
  • A minimum of three years experience in design and space planning of commercial or governmental interior or construction projects.
  • Working knowledge of at least two of the following: Systems furniture and specifications, Building codes and ADA requirements, Informational technology, mechanical, electrical, communications systems, AutoCAD or Microsoft Office Suite and Project software packages.
  • Demonstrated performance in a variety of interior renovation projects.
  • Licenses, and/or certifications preferred: National Council of Architectural Review Boards (NCARB) architect license, National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ)
  • 20% travel
  • Top Secret SCI with Full Polygraph clearance
