Mid to Senior Electrical Engineer with PE for Facilities (PFS)– WASHINGTON, DC or Morristown NJ

The Louis Berger Group, Inc., a top 25 ENR firm, with offices in Washington, DC. and Morristown NJ is a multidisciplinary architecture, engineering, planning, and environmental consulting firm with rewarding opportunities available in our Washington, DC or Morristown NJ  office for qualified candidates.

The ideal candidate for this full-time position must have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, posses a professional license, and have 7 + years of experience in facilities systems design, excellent communication and design team skills, and AutoCAD, proficiency.  Federal Facilities design experience is plus. LEED AP is plus. For working on federal projects, US Citizenship or Green Card is necessary.

Job responsibilities include:

1.       Planning and design of facilities;

2.       Functions as Electrical Designer, Electrical Lead Engineer and/or Project Manager as part of a team of engineers, architects, technicians and tradesmen.

3.       Perform design and construction services for all types of government facilities.  Responsible for all phases of facility design including interfacing with utility companies and code officials, transformers, back up generators, feeders, switchgear, branch distribution, lighting, data, fire alarm and security.

Requirements include:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
2. US Citizenship or Green Card and ability to get a security clearance required.
3. Have a PE license in Electrical Engineering.   
4. Live within commuting distance to Washington DC or Morristown NJ office. 
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Auto Cad, Microstation software, or other industry related software. 
6. Excellent interpersonal skills, team work, and communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
7. Prior federal facility work a plus.  LEED AP certifications are all plus.
