Environmental Planner/Scientist Project Manager ( Washington, DC & Kansas City, MO)
The Project Manager will be responsible for management of projects involving the environmental study of utility and energy infrastructure planning and construction; preparation of project management plans including scopes, schedules and cost estimates; development of project management procedures and policies; and coordination with other project teams. He/she will be a senior member of our energy and utility services team involved in the management and direction of projects, the review of plans and budgets, and the development of marketing initiatives.
The qualified individual must have experience in, and will be responsible for, ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations for major energy and utility projects. The position will be located out of one of the following Louis Berger locales/offices: Washington, DC or Kansas City, MO.
The successful Project Manager will meet the following criteria:
· Demonstrated experience with electric utilities
· Candidates will have a background in environmental planning, sciences or appropriate engineering background with five (5) or more years of experience working in the utility industry
· Willingness to travel 20-25% (within US).
· Demonstrated ability to maintain relationships with inter-disciplinary working groups.
· Ability to form work products with little management direction to meet desired objectives, to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently, and follow through on commitments to internal and external parties.
· Strong leadership, team management, and project organizational skills.
